1. Get your hands on a luxurious facial oil.
Savvy Thai beauties are known to have top-notch relaxation and diet regimens, but they’re also big on skincare! Setting the stage for the statement Thai makeup look is a fresh base enhanced with a facial oil that delivers instant glass skin. One trick that Anthea does is applying one to two drops all over the face to prep the skin, then mixing a few drops with all of her cream-based makeup products to enhance their illuminating effects, too.
2. Keep the eyes subtle.
One of the Thai makeup techniques that Anthea loves is keeping the eye makeup as subtle as possible, incorporating neutral eyeshadows, with just a hint of pink for that signature pinkish look that Thais are known for.
3. Let your bushy brows shine through.
A rule of thumb in Thai makeup is to keep the eyebrows natural and defined. Draw short, hairlike strokes with a pencil or a straight-line brush. But if you’re like Rei who has naturally full brows, just proceed to brush your brows upwards and set them with an even coat of clear eyebrow gel for that effortless finish.
4. Pink is your lips' best friend.
Opt for a shiny, pinkish pout that will offer a gorgeous, face-brightening finish to your look. Anthea recommends you choose a lipstick that’s two shades lighter and brighter than your natural lip color then top it off with lip gloss to achieve this radiant look.
5. Think skin first.
Thais love an ethereal, lit-from-within glow. “They really focus on the skin, as in skin perfection, gusto nila glowy and radiant, and yung skin talaga yung bida,” Anthea shares. The trick to this is to play up certain features such as the eyes and lips, then soften the rest of the face for that flawless finish.
