What Are Season's Greetings And Why It's The K-pop Merch We're Looking Forward To
Time flies really fast, right? It’s that time of the year again where everyone’s looking forward to the holidays. Malls have started playing Christmas carols and families have started putting up their Christmas trees and lights. Even though we’re still in a pandemic, we can’t deny that the festivities are just around the corner.
And while everybody’s listing down their wish lists and doing early gift shopping for their loved ones, K-pop fans, especially merch collectors, have one more thing on that list: It’s the Season’s Greetings of their favorite K-pop artist!

But first, what are Season’s Greetings and why do fans look forward to this every end of the year?
Season’s Greetings are merch released by a lot of K-pop artists (whether solo or group) as a package for the new year. For next year, Season’s Greetings 2022 will be up for pre-order this year. Each artist’s Season’s Greetings has a special theme for that year. They also do a special photoshoot and the photos will be featured in the merch included in the Season’s Greetings. This merch package usually includes a combination of the following: A desk or wall calendar, a planner or diary, a DVD containing videos, a poster, postcards, stickers, photo cards, and other unique merch.

K-pop fans get excited waiting for their favorite artists to release the preview of their Season’s Greetings and checking out the different merch included before deciding which ones to buy. We’ve asked some fans to share their favorite Season’s Greetings in their collection and here’s what they told us:
BTS 2015 Season’s Greetings
Young and bright BTS was the concept of this Season’s Greetings with a desk calendar, a scheduler, a sticker sheet, a DVD, a greeting card, and a poster calendar. We see photos of the BTS members in casual clothes and it's one of their cutest and most refreshing photoshoots ever!
MAMAMOO 2020 Season’s Greetings
MAMAMOO went for a retro concept for their 2020 Season’s Greetings. True to the concept, the box looks like an old TV which contains a photobook, a desk calendar, a folded poster, mini posters, photocards, a notepad, and a special video card. The group’s photos are colorful and eye-catching, which fit their lovable personalities perfectly.
BTOB 2015 Season’s Greetings
BTOB, on the other hand, goes for a serious and elegant concept with their Born to be Nature Season’s Greetings. The box has neutral colors with intricate details and contains a desk calendar, a scheduler, a mini calendar poster, a DVD, and a special slow blue diffuser where they incorporated the group’s official fandom color. The BTOB members look handsome in winter outfits perfect for South Korea’s season.
IU 2021 Season’s Greetings
IU’s concept for her most recent Season’s Greetings is simple but eye-catching. The merch included in the box are a pop-up welcome card with a printed message and signature from IU, a scheduler, stickers, a poster calendar, a desk calendar, magnets, and some photos you can put on a string to decorate your room. TVXQ 2021 Season’s Greetings
Sleek and mature, TVXQ gifted their fans with timeless photos in their 2021 Season’s Greetings. The package includes a desk calendar, a hardcover diary, a frame and postcard calendar set, a folded poster calendar set, a sticker set, an A4 poster set, a mini brochure, and more. No wonder fans love this merch!

NCT Dream
Imagine going on a trip and checking in your hotel only to see the NCT members. That’s how their Season’s Greetings 2022 is making us feel. The purple uniforms stand out and make the members dreamier than ever. Aside from the desk calendar and hardcover diary, you also get a postcard set, a folded poster calendar set, a sticker set, a poster set, a mini brochure, and a hotel key card set which consists of a key card and a door hanger. That’s a lot!
aespa
Pretty pink and purple is aespa’s theme for their 2022 Season’s Greetings. Like NCT Dream, the package also includes a desk calendar, a hardcover diary, a postcard set, a folded poster calendar set, a sticker set, a poster set, and a mini brochure but fans are especially excited to see the photos in the selfie card set! Based on what we’ve seen from the aespa members, they’re going to be nothing less than gorgeous.
Girls' Generation
The members of Girls’ Generation are classy and elegant in their 2022 Season’s Greetings “Oh! GG.” Fans will get a desk calendar, a hardcover diary, a postcard set, a folded poster calendar set, a sticker set, a poster set, a mini brochure, and an accordion postcard set. We can’t wait to see the photos in the mini brochure because from the preview alone, fans’ hearts are already fluttering!
ATEEZ
For their 2022 Season’s Greetings, ATEEZ is going the playful route. The box features the ATEEZ members as chibis or cute cartoon versions of themselves. The package includes merch that fit the theme as well – a desk calendar, a spring diary, a behind DVD, a mini poster set, a postcard set, a sticker photo, a deco sticker, a memory book, a random photo card, and a digital planner. We’re most curious about the contents of the memory book!
ITZY
It feels like summer has come early with ITZY’s 2022 Season’s Greetings “Best Friends Forever." The ITZY members are going to make fans feel like they’re going on a beach trip with them through their fun and refreshing photos. The package contains a desk calendar, a photobook, a diary, a sticker set, a behind DVD, a postcard set, and a photo card set.
