Wow! We're Totally Impressed With Rhea Bue's Kang Sae Byeok-Inspired Look
It's almost been a month since Netflix released Squid Game, and its fame isn't showing any signs of slowing down—in fact, it's *officially* the most popular show that the streaming service debuted! Now while we love all the actors and actresses in the hit series, there's one that tops our list: Jung Ho Yeon! When watching her portray Kang Sae Byeok, it's hard to believe that this is only her acting debut.
Ho Yeon's popularity skyrocketed after the show, too. (She's the most followed South Korean actress on Instagram with 19.6 million followers as of this writing, NBD). If you scroll through TikTok, you'll find thousands of videos of people trying to recreate her character's iconic look. The one that caught our eye was local content creator Rhea Bue's attempt!
In the photo she posted, she nailed Kang Sae Byeok's wispy bangs, blunt cut, puffy lips, and dark undereyes. She also dressed up in the character's green jumpsuit to really complete the look, and we must say, we're totally impressed!
On her Instagram Stories, Rhea shared the links to the wig she used and the ~customized~ PPE jacket and pants she wore, so you can check them out if you're interested in dressing up as Kang Sae Byeok for Halloween. ;)
