Ok, But Can You Believe That These Desserts Are *Actually* Pastillas?

Growing up, one of the first few Pinoy desserts I've ever tried were pastillas. Just in case you aren't familiar with what they are exactly, pastillas are a sweet delicacy that's made from the most basic ingredients: milk, butter, and sugar. In fact, aside from eating lots of these when I was kid, I clearly remember making them, too! 'Di ako expert, but I'd like to think madali lang siyang gawin, haha. 

And for the longest time, the only kind of pastillas I ever knew were the oval or ball-shaped, white or cream-colored ones that were covered with granulated sugar. Now, it looks like Filipinos have been stepping up their game. Take for example local brand Candydo Sweet Goods. From chicken to hamonado, and sushi to samgyup, they sell pastillas in the *most creative* designs. Keep reading to know more.
