Hyeri On Her Longtime Relationship With Ryu Jun Yeol: 'He always makes me feel thankful'
And our ship continues to sail! Hyeri's new drama, My Roommate Is A Gumiho, just wrapped up and in an interview, she thanked the people who supported her—including her longtime boyfriend, Ryu Jun Yeol.
The couple met during their filming for Reply 1988 and they have come a long way after playing Deok Sun and Jung Hwan. They mentioned each other during interviews, went on ~secret~ dates, and Jun Yeol even said that if there's one actress he'd like to work with in the future, that would be Hyeri again. *screams*
P.S: We have a timeline of their nakakakilig relationship and you can read it here!
Hyeri and Jun Yeol started dating in 2017 and their relationship is stronger than ever. The K-pop-idol-turned-actress said that Jun Yeol showed his full support for My Roommate Is A Gumiho by watching every single episode of the drama. When asked how he reacted to her romantic scenes, Hyeri shared that he's always understanding and he makes her feel respected all the time: "That's why I'm grateful for him. He always makes me feel thankful." Awwww!
Aside from Jun Yeol. Hyeri also showed her gratitude to her fellow Reply 1988 cast member Go Kyung Pyo for his special appearance in the series: “When I met him on set, it was my first time seeing him in a really long while and it felt different from seeing him in a social setting. It felt like meeting up with an older relative during the holidays. I was so, so happy to see him and I felt like I had gone back to that period of time.” She also added that she's thankful for Krystal Jung, her Girl's Day members, and My Roommate Is A Gumiho co-star, Jang Ki Yong.
Hyeri ended the interview by saying that she's very happy to have worked with the cast of My Roommate Is A Gumiho, but she's also sad that it's now over. On her character, Dam, Hyeri mentioned how excited she was when she first *met* her, and that Dam holds a special place in her heart because they have a lot of things in common.
