Aww! McCoy De Leon Had The Sweetest Anniversary Greeting For Elisse Joson

Love truly is sweeter the second time around.

In June 2021, McCoy De Leon made fans kilig when he confirmed in June 2021 that he and Elisse Joson had rekindled their romance. According to McCoy, they had actually gotten back together before the pandemic, but chose to keep things low-key.

On July 27, Tuesday, Elisse shared photos of a romantic beach getaway with McCoy. 

"Anywhere with you," she captioned the IG post. The post featured a video clip of Elisse in the middle of a call with McCoy while she looked out of what appeared to be a hotel window.

Elisse: "I'm at the window."

McCoy: "Kita mo? Kita mo yung water?

Elisse: "Sa water? Oh!"

McCoy: "Kita mo?"

Elisse: "Yeah! Is that you? (laughs) Is that you?"

McCoy: "Happy anniversary!"

One of the pics in Elisse's post was a zoomed-up shot of McCoy waving to Elisse from a balcony across the building where she was in. Facing her were the letters spelling out "Happy anniversary." It looked like there was also a bouquet of flowers. Aww!

McCoy and Elisse started dropping clues of reconciliation in August 2020, when McCoy shared a photo of them on what appeared to be a cruise. In January 2021. McCoy even compiled greetings from Elisse's friends for her birthday. So sweet!

The couple first ended their relationship in 2018. The exact details of the breakup remain a mystery, but Elisse did note while guesting on Magandang Buhay that McCoy was going through something.

In a promotional video for their 2019 movie Sakaling Maging Tayo, they talked about their last moments together before things ended between them, and things got emotional. Netizens got to read between the lines that they didn't stop caring for one another, that McCoy had to sacrifice their relationship for his family, that he loved Elisse a lot, and that they both missed each other.

The two were both former Pinoy Big Brother housemates in 2016. McCoy first shared that he wanted to court Elisse in 2017.
