Jodi Sta. Maria just marked the last of her 30s in a feelsy and sentimental birthday post. The acclaimed actress turned 39 years old yesterday, June 16, and shared a picture of her in her ~element~, at the beach. And in the caption, she "looked back" at her life and realized so many things she's thankful for:
"On June 16, 1982, at 4:29 p.m., I took my first breath here on earth. Looking back [on] the last 39 years of my life, I am grateful for the many small victories, extraordinary adventures, even the hardships and failures. I am thankful to all the people I have crossed paths with, for giving me a part of themselves and enriching my heart and soul. I am grateful every day for these experiences. Here I am, 39 and all, still alive and breathing. Thank you, Lord, for everything!"
She then went on to thank all the people who greeted her on her birthday—"Maraming salamat sa lahat ng nakaalala. Thank you for taking the time to greet me on this special day!"—which included her rumored boyfriend Raymart Santiago. In the comments section of her post, Raymart wrote a short and sweet shout out to Jodi, "Happy birthday [three heart emojis]," to which she replied with, "thank you [heart emoji]."
Jodi has been busy starring in hit dramas on ABS-CBN these past few years, but is set to headline her biggest one yet! In the highly anticipated Philippine remake of Doctor Foster and A World Of Married Couple, titled The Broken Marriage Vow, Jodi will star as the lead character Dra. Jill Illustre whose idyllic family life shatters when her husband gets caught having an affair. She will star alongside Xanjoe Marudo as David Illustre, Sue Ramirez as Lexy Lucero, and Zaijian Jaranilla as Gio Illustre.
But apart from her stellar showbiz career, Jodi also pursued a university degree while working as an actress (and being a hands-on mom to her teen son, Thirdy)! Just last week, she posted that she passed her thesis defense which took three whole hours. ICYDK, Jodi took up BS Psychology at the Southville International School and Colleges in Las Piñas.
Wow, what a life indeed! Congrats and have a great 39th birthday, Jodi!
