The 29-year-old Hallyu superstar is confirmed to take on the titular character in the upcoming K-drama Yumi's Cells. She's the only cast member that has officially accepted the projectalthough *three* rumored male actors are making us super-excited for this project!

To know more about Kim Go Eun's new K-drama, Yumi's Cells, check out some fast facts about it below:

What's the plot of Yumi's Cells?

Yumi's Cells is actually a webtoon adaptation of the same name! Yumi's Cells was first published in 2015 and was written by Lee Dong Gun. You can read the Yumi's Cells webtoon here.

According to Soompi, the drama version is about an ordinary office worker named Yumi, who isn't the best at expressing her thoughts and feelings. Here comes the plot twist: The drama is told from the point of view of Yumi's ~brain cells~ (hence the title!) and they help her control her thoughts, feelings, and actions!

Who's in the cast of Yumi's Cells?

Kim Go Eun as Yumi

Kim Go Eun is the lead star and only confirmed cast member so far. She gushed about her relatable character in a recent interview and said, "I think the reason that the love story of the ordinary woman Yumi was able to make so many people laugh and cry over such a long period of time was because of how relatable it was. I'm looking forward to her future journey."

After two successful comebacks with K-pop powerhouse, SHINee, and a beloved guest-starring role in Lovestruck In The City, Minho is currently in talks to appear in Yumi's Cells. His special role is Woo Gi, Yumi's officemate whom she has a massive yet one-sided crush on.
