Breaking: His Royal Highness, Prince Philip Has Passed Away

It is a sad and solemn day for many as the British Monarchy formally released a statement announcing the demise of High Royal Highness, The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. He was 99 years old.

The Royal UK website announced that he peacefully passed in Windsor Castle and that the rest of the royal family will be joining the rest of the world in silent mourning. Prince Philip had been married to Queen Elizabeth, the head of the monarchy of United Kingdom, for 70 years.

Prince Philip was admitted to a hospital last February after feeling unwell according to official reports. It was also stated that he successfully underwent an operation for a pre-existing heart condition at St. Bartholomew's London hospital. He was discharged after a month, however, with the Buckingham Palace announcing that he was released "following treatment for an infection and a successful procedure for a pre-existing condition."

The Duke of Edinburgh officially retired from his royal duties back in 2017 and has received several treatments for various health conditions, both before and after his retirement, such as an exploratory abdomen surgery.

The Royal UK website's other websites are also currently taken down to accommodate new changes after the death of the royal.
