Barbie Imperial Says Her Newfound Relationship With Diego Loyzaga Was 'Totally Unexpected'

We're officially in 2021 and we've got a brand new celeb couple who rang in the New Year together: Barbie Imperial and Diego Loyzaga. The two stars were on holiday in Bohol when they broke the news of their relationship on Instagram. On New Year's Day, Diego posted a sweet couple photo of them wrapped in each other's arms and wrote in the caption: "Happy new year to us. Thanks for making the end of my 2020 memorable. Let's gooo 2021!"

On January 3, Barbie couldn't help but gush over her new beau and said that their love was "totally unexpected" because they started out as friends. Aww!

According to ABS-CBN, dating rumors between Barbie and Diego surfaced in November 2020 when Diego left a comment on one of Barbie's Insta posts. Later that month, Barbie admitted on Magandang Buhay that Diego was indeed courting her. They were then spotted on a couple of more dates since then. Cheers to the new lovebirds!
